Hello everyone. I am Suguru Kono, a psychological counselor. I was born in Higashiyamato City, Tokyo, and moved to Yokohama City when I was four years old. I was educated locally from my early childhood until graduating high school. I graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Policy Management in 2004 and later, in 2022, graduated from Seitoku University’s Faculty of Psychology and Welfare, Department of Psychology, seeking deeper knowledge in psychology.

My qualifications are as follows:

Advanced Psychological Counselor qualification from the Japan Ability Promotion Association (March 2019) Certified Psychologist by the Japanese Psychological Association (No. 56822) Childcare Worker qualification (Registration No. Kanagawa Prefecture-117470) I have experienced deep connections with people from various backgrounds through volunteer activities in India and the Philippines. These experiences significantly contribute to my empathy and multicultural perspective as a counselor.

I have also worked in exhibition construction and management companies and in accounting and general affairs for a metal trading company, acquiring a broad set of skills as a professional. This experience forms a foundation for dealing with stress and interpersonal issues in the business world.

Having experienced an international marriage, I now live with my Filipino wife and our two sons. This family setup has deepened my understanding of intercultural communication and parenting.

My hobbies include photography and traveling. Exploring new places keeps me constantly looking for fresh perspectives. These hobbies are a source of inspiration for creative approaches in my counseling.
