Psychological Counseling for Cross Culture Kids
We listen to stories of client from the perspective of TCKs (Third Culture Kids) and CCKs (Cross-Cultural Kids).
Grieving Separation: Experiencing environmental changes due to relocation or moving, and the resulting sadness or anxiety from parting with friends and loved ones.
Identity Establishment: Due to backgrounds in two or more cultures, individuals may feel they belong to neither or cannot fully identify with one culture.
Medical Referral Necessary:
- Depression and Mood Disorders: Mood declines due to the stress of cultural transitions and adaptation.
- Adjustment Disorders: Psychological stress becomes prominent when adapting to new environments.
- Anxiety Disorders: Anxiety due to ongoing uncertainty and change.
- PTSD: Effects of severe cultural conflicts or traumatic experiences.
